The Running Stream project area is on the western margin of the Sydney Basin, within the Western Coalfields of New South Wales. The lease is located near the rural area of Running Stream, approximately 60km northwest of Lithgow, and 35km north of the Mount Piper Power Station. The area is serviced by both the Lithgow-Mudgee Road and the Lithgow-Mudgee railway line.
